FoodCycle
- 2 years 10 months
Poverty Alleviation
FoodCycle is an amazing national charity that believes that food waste and food poverty should not coexist. It combines volunteers, surplus food and spare kitchen spaces to create tasty, nutritious meals for people at risk of food poverty. As a volunteer, I've cooked meals for groups of up to 50 people! I've also collected food from local suppliers, planned menus, and designed dishes. It was a thrill to have one of my dishes featured on the website! :)

Happy Home and School for the Blind
Social Services
An amazing school for blind children (aged 5-15) in Bombay, India. I volunteered here over two summers reading to children and playing games to help them conceptualise shapes, forms and textures. I also helped the younger children with meals and guided music and song sessions.
